Haiku Writing Workshop

2:30 - 3:30pm on Saturday, May 14 2011 in Peabody Essex Museum, Japanese Art Gallery

Attendees will learn the basic elements of writing haiku and its transformation into the American landscape. Certain myths about the nature of haiku in English will be discussed and participants will learn the simple rules of what constitutes a good haiku and the difficulty as writers become more proficient. The haiku moment will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to write haiku and the critique of their work.
